Located just beyond the breathtaking Black Spur of VIC, Marysville is bordered by State Forest and rolling farmlands, and enjoys a close relationship with the local village and its people.
With a strong emphasis on fun and adventure, this program is designed to help students connect with natural environments and get excited about exploring the great outdoors.
Focused on leadership and collaboration, this program puts students through a range of outdoor activities designed to empower, motivate, and inspire; developing both their individual skills, and ability to work in teams. Harmoniously.
Making the jump from Year 6 to Year 7 can seem overwhelming. This program has been designed to help smooth the transition (from Junior School to Middle School) by building students’ self-confidence and resilience.
Marysville’s main site can be broken into several, smaller sub-sites, each featuring a series of multi-bed cabins and central leader’s lodge. All cabins sleep 6 - 8 students and come equipped with reverse-cycle air-conditioning/heating, ensuite, and shower. Lodges sleep 2 adults and similarly equipped to cabins, with kitchenette and lounge room, too.
At Marysville we focus on sustainability. Growing our own ingredients. Or sourcing seasonal, fair-trade produce from local providers. Reducing transport distances wherever possible. And putting waste to good use by either composting it, or turning it into animal feed.
Marysville accommodates up to 250 people. Easy walking distance from town and able to split into smaller sub-sites - making it possible for several school groups to enjoy their own space within a wider camp community. Our Grand Hall hosts up to 250 people. And comes equipped with a PA system, projector and screen. Our Assembly Hall hosts up to 100 people. With elbow room. And we have several Open Air Spaces - some under cover - suitable for most sizes of gathering.
All Ages. Various Difficulties. Customisable Options.
All programs are hands-on. And designed to challenge both body, and mind.
Energising adventure activities, nutritious and delicious self-made food, and uplifting music classes are all used to teach students that doing is the best way of learning. And that with effort comes reward.

Making the jump from Year 6 to Year 7 can seem overwhelming. This program has been designed to help smooth the transition (from Junior School to Middle School) by building students’ self-confidence and resilience.
Concentrating on developing relationships between students, peer-groups, and staff, this program combines a variety of confidence-building activities designed to prepare students for their first year of High School.
Using Hardtop Camps as a base, this program pushes students to experience and triumph over a range of outdoor activities designed to develop new skills and prepare them for their next big adventure (whatever that may be).
The target here is team-building and collaboration. And developing these skills by having students face challenges and work together to achieve agreed outcomes.
Taking on challenges. Facing adversity. And pushing past failures to achieve outcomes. This program explores all these things (and more) via activities designed to make students more resilient and prove that perseverance, pays off.
By providing a break from their usual routine and the school environment, this program offers students the opportunity to reflect on themselves, their relationships, and their future beyond school. Upon completion of this program most students comment on how invaluable this period of introspection has been.
Please note: This program can be framed as a leadership course. Spiritual retreat. Or a study camp.
